Child Time Cards

With the Time and Attendance Tracker from Procare Software® it’s easy to see child time card totals at a glance or by running an attendance report for more details. You may even choose whether to view time in hours and minutes or decimal format. Oh and let’s not forget time card rounding – you may select that as well. Continue reading

Time & Attendance: Batch Check In

An efficient way to check many children in and out at once is not to stand on a ladder and adjust the big hands on a clock (see image). A better way is to use a Time and Attendance program from a company that specializes in Daycare Software. This will help you save time and simplify the management of your child care, preschool or similar child-centered business. In this article we’ll show you how the Batch Post Time Card feature of Procare Software® may be used to check children both in and out at the same time.

This is the third in a series of articles about tracking time and attendance of children. The first article called One Pick Up, Many Children and the second article Bus Run Check In may also be of interest. Continue reading

Time & Attendance: Bus Run Check In

Does your child care, preschool or after school program have children arrive or depart on the same bus? Are you responsible for keeping track of their attendance? If so Child Care Management Software can help. In today’s article we’ll explain how to use Procare Software® to manage bus run lists and check all children assigned to a particular bus in or out at the same time. You may also be interested in our previous article on how an authorized pick up person may be allowed to Check In Many Children even those in other families.           Continue reading

Time Change: Daylight Savings – Spring Ahead

This weekend (Sunday, March 14, 2010) remember to set your clocks ahead one hour. Of course the means you’ll get one less hour of sleep Saturday night, but the bright side is literally brighter. Beginning Sunday evening it will stay light longer. This means you’ll save a bit of electricity by not burning lights as long and, of course, more time for children to enjoy the great outdoors.

The time change can also affect Daycare Software since some functions use the time on your computer, such as a check in computer that runs Time and Attendance Software or a Child Care Time Clock. Most computers will automatically adjust the time for you, but it’s a good idea to double check before families begin checking children in and out Monday morning.

Enjoy the extra late afternoon sunshine and until next time, cheers!

Time & Attendance: One Pick Up, Many Children

Child Care Management Software can help you manage Time and Attendance for children at your childcare center, daycare, preschool or after school program. There are various check in situations your software should accommodate. This article is the first in a series covering one such situation. We’ll show you how to use Procare Software® to allow a single authorized pick up person to check in multiple children from more than one family. This is convenient for car pool situations where friends or neighbors are allowed to pick up each others’ children. Continue reading
